I was speaking at a mid-year award and training event with over 100 insurance agents and leaders in attendance. It was my first time since the MCO lockdown started that I’ve attended or spoke at an event this size.
I was early at the event, and as I was seated at the main table in front of the main stage. I was observing people flowing into the room through the big doors of the hall, their eyes scanning for their colleagues and friends, and once their eyes meet each other for the very first time after 3 months of lockdown, without fail in an instant spark of synchronicity a beaming wide smile lights up their faces. 😃
They would excitedly come together and reconnect with each other, pulled together by the strong desire and force of being able to have that in-person connection with each other and to finally feel each other’s warmth after all these months.
We have entered into a new and uncertain chapter of the world, where social distancing and lockdowns are the norms.
My question is, how do we keep the warmth of our human touch with each other in this new world?
How have you maintained that connection with your peers and loved ones that you are apart from during the lockdown? Share your thoughts in the comments section below 👇
