Throwback to the 90’s, I used to work for companies with “Big Shots” in other words “MY BOSS”. You could do anything in the world to Impress them, but they never seem satisfied with your work . As a matter of fact, you could have told him you went to the Moon by a CAR, but instead of being happy for you, My Boss would have responded; “I would have done it with a BICYCLE !”.
As time went on, I realized , although I was attached to one of the Top Companies in Malaysia, I never actually enjoyed going to work because, none of my bosses seem to understand their Employees thoroughly. It was definitely very depressing for me and my colleagues, but nobody developed the courage to voice out. Why? Because Bosses, SAY & You, FOLLOW!

As you go through these questions, you get a better picture of how amazing it is to work with a Leader. You maybe in denial right now, but thats okay, human beings are meant to go through denial before acceptance.
Nevertheless, everybody has their own style or personas, but when you’re given the opportunity to lead a team, many are left flat footed because of not knowing where to and how to start. That’s a common problem we all face today. The learning curve to becoming a great Leader is steep, but it is rewarding. We witness so many businesses, start-ups, SME’s failing to achieve great heights today because majority of Companies hire Bosses instead of Leaders, whom are still afraid to move away from their comfort zones and prefer the traditional method which just doesn’t seem to fit the current system well.
On the other hand, if we actually made the effort to study how all those successful companies bloom in their businesses, we would be able to understand that the reason behind their excellent productivity is directly related to the quality of their Leader. Not the BOSS!
To join the elite club of good leaders, you must have all these qualities but if you lack some of these qualities, then you might struggle to make the mark in the world of leadership. You will have to set a good example for others to follow. That is where your commitment, passion, empathy, honesty and integrity come into play. Good communication skills and decision-making capabilities also play a vital role in success and failure of a leader. Lastly, innovation and creative thinking, as well as the futuristic vision, are a couple of leadership qualities that make up good leaders.
