Youโve only got one opportunity to make a first impression, thatโs why you have to start with a BANG! Making it impactful and memorable.
How do you do that? One of the easiest ways is to ask great ๐๐ต๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต๐-๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐พ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐.
For example:
โLadies and gentlemen, have you ever wondered why some companies succeed? While others donโt?
โOver 400 companies have attended my programs during the MCO lockdown and weโve found 20 strategies that actually worked for them.โ
โWould you like to know what these 20 sales strategies are?โ
Compelling right from the beginning.
2.โกย Energy & Enthusiasm
If your presentation is down, mundane, and monotonous, your prospects are going to fall asleep and not respond to you, regardless of your content, or how strong your technical knowledge is.
In this day and age, people not only look and hear what you say but how you say it and how you look while you are saying it.
So be upbeat, fill yourself up with energy, show people your passion and fire in your belly for what you have to share.
3.๐ก Spark Curiosity Through Storytelling
Humans are naturally curious creatures, we have a need to know, and to have closure. We have a naturally open our minds to stories that easily bypasses the filters of the mind.
During a holiday I was having lunch with an acquaintance of mine in a cafe, I was wearing a smart casual shirt that I usually wear to work, and he asked me โHanzo, you look like youโre working today.โ
I said, โYeah, Vincent. Actually, Iโm working today.โ
โIn fact, my whole team is up there in the office, working today.โ
And Vincent was shocked! He said, โHow on earth did you get your staff to work on a public holiday?โ
My question to you now is, are you curious and want to know the conclusion of this story?
Most people will want to know because their curiosity has been sparked! Because I planted the question in their minds on what did I say to my team to get them to work on a public holiday?
This is the power of curiosity and storytelling.
4. โถ Forward Moving Close
Too many presenters blow their opportunity to progress their agenda or sales process after completing a presentation.
You have salespeople who close their presentations with โThank you for having us here.โ โIf you have any questions, feel free to contact us.โ โAnd thank you very much. Bye-bye.โ
If you end your presentation this way, then you can say bye-bye to your sale.
Instead what you should do is ask a closing question such as โMr. Prospect, based on what we presented today.โ
โAre we ready to move forward?โย
This will encourage moving the deal forward.
Another example would be,
โMr. Prospect, based on everything weโve discussed today.โย
โCan you award us the deal, so that we can prepare the paperwork today?โย
Be confident, have the courage to ask for the business.
If you donโt have a strong closing, you will not close the sale.
5.๐ย Self Reflection
To become a master presenter or salesperson, we have to constantly improve ourselves by identifying in our sales presentation what we did, what went well, and what we need to improve upon.
If you want to grow your income, you have to follow this and coach yourself to success.
