There was something on my car.

I was leaving for work when a note on my car caught my attention.  “Ah so it’s an advertisement for a tuition class“.

It’s very unusual to get advertisements on my car since I was staying in a condominium. Although it’s just a normal advertisement, here are some easy steps for you to reach your prospects:

1. Do people know you exist?

Do people around your business know what you offer? If you offer cleaning services, everyone around you should know about it. If one of your strategy is door to door sales, make sure your sales people target your surrounding areas. When people think about cleaning services, you should appear to their minds first.

2. Building your database

Your database is where your money is.

Always capture your database. Most exhibitions and booths fail because no database is captured. Let’s say you have a booth where people walk pass and some might stop to find out more, are you getting their contacts?

In networking events, most sales people fail.

They make the mistake of talking to people they know only. They are shy and fearful of approaching strangers. In networking events, sales people need to approach strangers in groups, get contacts and move on to new prospects.

3. Touch base with them

Follow up, follow up and follow up. Most sales people struggle here because it’s tough. It’s painful and troublesome. No matter how you feel, if you want the sale, “Just Do It!”

Customer know what they want. But they don’t know what they need.
