This car is amazing. It’s moving even though it is beaten up and ready for a scrap. Are you fighting to the end? When it is a few days till the end of the quarter and you are nowhere near hitting your targets, do you give up or sell harder?

Here are 5 simple ways to be motivated.

#1 – I Own This

Salespeople need to have ownership of the company, the products, and sales. Run your sales like how you would run your business. But some might respond:

“Why should I ‘die‘ for the company? The company doesn’t even care about me!”

You have a point there. But what happens if ever the company shuts down and you get retrenched, would it be tough paying for your monthly expenses before you find a new job?

Own your sales. You should feel the pain when the sales target is not met.

#2 – I’m Lovin’ It!

When you wake up and think about work, do you grumble or are you excited?

There are only 2 ways to love going to work:

  1. Love your company. But if you can’t love your company then,
  2. Love doing what you do, which means selling.

When you have passion for what you do, you will do it well.

#3 – No Fear

Fear stops people. Just like making cold calls to CEOs or directors scares most salespeople. Our recent survey shows that 77% of most managers say that their salespeople are afraid to call decision-makers and are afraid of talking to ‘strangers’ during networking.

In our signature Sales Motivation Training, we have designed a fear-breaking activity where our participants are pushed to the limit in order to have a breakthrough in their fear. But unfortunately, there are participants who choose to avoid and not participate in the activity although it is in a controlled environment. The sad question is how then would they succeed when facing fear in real life?

Fear is only a mental barrier. If a salesperson can overcome that and “Just Do It“, he will be a step ahead of other salespeople.

#4 – I’m No.2?

How driven are you to be No.1? In Olympics or in competitions, people only focus on the winner. Average salespeople are happy where they are but Super salespeople always improve to be better. If you notice, aggressive salespeople tend to have more sales (of course this means with sales skills too) as compared to complacent salespeople.

So, always be No.1.

#5 – What Do You REALLY Want?

Whether it’s for a new BMW, a Semi-D, holidays in Europe, more time with family, or an improved lifestyle, closing more sales will get you there faster. What we do in Sales Ninja is to print out an image of what we wanted and stick it on our wall.

Do you have any in mind now? Print it and stick it so you see it every day.

With this, you will fight harder and close more sales so that you can drive home your new BMW and show your friends and family by the middle of this year.
